Beyond forms - smarter survey formats

While Cxoice can easily create online web-surveys, it can also create surveys that work smarter and that go beyond just filling in a form.

Web-assisted Surveys

Cxoice has options for web-assisted surveys where an interviewer and a participant work through a questionnaire together, under the control of the interviewer.

Web-assisted telephone interviewing (WATI) is particularly useful for B2B and key account interviewing where the phone remains the best contact method, and good interviewers build up a rapport with interviewees to help them through the survey, particularly where there are options being shown, or questions about decisions involving pricing.

To use Cxoice WATI options, you need an agency-account and to have interviewers set up on the system. Cxoice provides a full toolkit for traditional CATI (computer-aided telephone interviewing), which is then extended to a full WATI system. 

Video-accompanied surveys

Cxoice also extends WATI surveys, to video-accompanied surveys where the interviewer or moderator can ask the interviewee to share their webcam and screen while completing the survey.

While this sounds like a Zoom or video conferencing approach, in Cxoice this is initiated from within the survey using the WATI controlled access. This allows the interviewer or moderator tocontrol the flow of the questionnaire, and contents on the interviewers screen can be different to the content and tasks shown to the respondent.

The video call is also started within Cxoice, rather than both parties needing to pre-prepare a Zoom session, where the participant controls the sharing of their screen.

Video-accompanied self-serve interviews

Because Cxoice can capture Video (and connect it with AI) as someone completes a survey (or even application form), Cxoice offers Video-accompanied surveys.

These start like normal online surveys, but the participant is asked to start their webcam or camera on their phone and records themselves completing a survey page-by-page, with Cxoice recording their screen, audio and reactions.

The video captures as they go from one-page to the next, allowing for reactions to be recorded, or understanding and awareness to be tested.

Video-accompanied surveys also allow for task-based surveys where participants show things in their life, or how they do things. For instance, to show what's in their fridge, or what sequence they use filling a washing machine.

Conversational AI-based Surveys

When AI is added to the mix, video-accompanied surveys lead on to Conversational AI based surveys where AI is added to the mix, either to act as an interviewer or moderator, or to pop up with chat or prompts at key points in the survey.

Video and audio can be captured, transcribed and summarised and then used in conjunction with the survey answers to add layers of depth to quantitative surveys.

Web-overlay surveys

In a Web-overlay survey, participants are shown real web-pages and real online content which then acts as a live prompt to find out their reactions via ratings and feedback on the page. For instance, adding 'stickers' to shown what they like or don't like, using thumbs-up and thumbs-down hotcold scale to show which products grab their attention in real e-commerce websites.

Web-overlay surveys can be combined with video capture, and AI allowing for fully self-sufficient surveys into current market perceptions and preferences as individuals show you what they like, and what they want in your market.
