Panel link settings/ Contacts ID settings

Research panels are used to access pre-existing pools of pre-qualified research participants. The panel has lists or access to a stream of potential individuals to take part in your survey. Large panel providers include Dynata, Cint and Toluna.

Once you have booked a slot with a panel provider they will ask for the link to your survey.

When your survey is in live or test mode this will be shown on the survey Status screen for the questionnaire

Viewing the survey link URL on the status page

Panel ID variable

The link will be something like: https://cxoiceresearch.com/qreAG7ejU?pid={id}

The survey link includes an ID variable after the ? - in this example it is ‘pid’

When the panel sends someone to your survey the visitor will be sent with an ID from the panel. Cxoice allows alphanumeric IDs to be used.

If they use a variable other than ?pid then you can set this using the “Incoming panel ID” eg ?sid

Completion links

When the survey is completed, or someone skips out because of a screening question or a quota limit has been reached, the survey redirects back to the panel provider.

You can set these ‘Complete Out’, ‘Screen Out’ and ‘Quota Out’ page links on this page too.

Use PageBreak routing to direct individuals out of the survey using End for a complete, ScreenOut for screen out, and QuotaOut for quota out.

When checking for quota totals use the following:

Condition:QUOTACHECK(quotavar) Skip to: QuotaOut

This would check the number of completes for quotavar and returns true if the quota has already been reached, or false if the quota is still open.

To send back the ID use @UID which will return the original panel ID sent by the panel provider

For example

https://panelco.com/complete?pid=@UID

Wave number

If you are using a repeating survey you can include a Wave number

Panel access to monitor completes

Many panels require system access so their project teams can monitor completes and quotas to help them better manage the sample requirements.

Cxoice generates an automatic panel log-in which can be used to access the survey monitor to see counts for the survey without sharing other details about the survey or project.
