Setting quotas

Quotas can be added to Cxoice to control the number of completes. For surveys where data has been uploaded, the quotas can be applied to the data fields – for instance region - which gives good control for areas like telephone interviewing.

Quotas can also be added ‘in-survey’. In-survey quota control includes setting a quota variable that is calculated based on a survey question or formula eg

qq_quotaAge=Age

The quota question types are used because they show in the survey monitor for Quotas, and can be set directly in the quota controls that sets the maximum number of completes for the question.

Then at the appropriate PageBreak question you have

QUOTACHECK(quotaAge) QuotaOut

This calculates the current number of completes for quotaAge, checks against the quota control screen, and if the quota has been reached will ‘QuotaOut’ the respondent

Quotas can be set and changed at any point. This allows for control over who is completing the survey at any individual time. For instance, you can close quotas for working people during working hours to avoid filling the working quota with people who are at home.
