Local data collection
Normally, Cxoice surveys are carried out online as web-based surveys by publishing the survey into an online Cxoice account.
However, Cxoice can also be used for off-line data collection using the ‘Collect Local Data’ option. This allows multiple separate interviews to be conducted without needing an online account or connection to the Cxoice webserver, with all the data being stored within your browser, giving a full server-less questionnaire or form. The same also applies for HTML apps which also offer interviewing options and local data storage without needing a server.
Select the Collect local data option and it will show you a list of existing interviews with an option to 'Start a new interview'
Data from these local data interviews can be viewed and extracted with the menu options ‘View Local Data’ and ‘Frequency counts’ which give access to the raw collected data, and a simplified chart view of the data collected. The data can also be exported into a .csv file with the ‘Save data to file’ option.
If the offline data is part of an bigger online study, and you have a Cxoice account, you can also add this data to your server data to cumulate (ie bring all the data together).
Data can be cumulated locally onto one computer from separate devices cumulating each file individually onto the single machine, but be careful about data volume limits within a browser environment.
