The banner question for reports

The mainbanner is defined as a Banner question type and then looks very similar to a normal questionnaire definition.

For the banner itself it has text for the heading, and then the condition to use. The condition to use is defined as a limited set of SQL to select the correct data.

For reporting, question names are given a leading ‘_’, so q1 in the questionnaire becomes ‘_q1’ for reporting.

A report can have multiple banner questions, and will be shown one after another across the crossbreak. Tabulations use each individual banner question for significance testing. The significance test is done across the groups within a single banner which, if the banner represents a single question, will be non-overlapping and so independent samples.

If you wish to add a specific cross-break variable to a question, give the question name in the ‘apply to all questions’ field.
